Architectural photography of a family residence in Sandy Bay, Tasmania. A fantastic extension to a classic 50’s deco house with an amazing view of the Derwent River. Renovation designed by local architects Preston Lane.

Mawhera Extension re-organises the internal spaces of a period home on a sloping site which had undergone previous alterations. The clients, a family of five, loved the house and location but longed for greater connection between internal living spaces and the garden at the lower level.

Drawn to photography as a teenager, technical proficiency and an understanding of image making were honed by a decade of design and creative direction. This period also marked the beginning of a diverse creative network that continues to evolve, and bring scalability to Adam's work to this day.
