Pop Top House
for Licht Architecture
Located just north of Hobart in New Town, Pop Top House sees the creation of a newly independent space within the existing residence.
Taking position above the garage, the new form extrudes upward as an extension of the footprint below, taking full advantage of the internal gable space within. The elevated positioning of the home enables access to aspects beyond the site, providing views out toward the northern suburbs and Mount Wellington.
Licht Architecture adopts a sensitive approach and uses a calming palette and softly animated spaces that celebrate the concept of recharging.
